The Georgian opposition held an action "Museum of Exposure"

On April, 18, activists of Representative People's Assembly held an action of protest within the framework of a project "Museum of Exposure" near "Rustaveli" metro station in the center of Tbilisi. Information "on the present-day reality in Georgia" and appropriation of state property by officials was presented on special stands.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that at the session of the consultative body of Representative People's Assembly on November, 8, 2010, a decision of preparing mass actions of civil disobedience was taken. On December, 22, 2010, an oppositional National movement of resistance was established, according to its organizers, aimed at struggle against Mikhail Saakashvili's regime.

According to Chairman of National Assembly Nona Gaprindashvili, world chess champion, the new action's goal was to "provide the public at large with documentary information of what is happening in the country today", "Novosti-Georgia" reports.

"The fact is that the authorities of the country have appropriated state property", Gaprindashvili declared.

A performance form was used at the action presenting photo material "with an incomplete list of crimes the ruling regime has committed during the past years", Georgy Kabakhidze, representative of the oppositional party "Democratic Movement - United Georgia", said.

On the initiative of Representative People's Assembly the first Committee of civil disobedience in Telavi was formed. The opposition declared its intention to create such committees all over the country in the nearest future.
