Resorts near Elbrus are closed to tourists because of CTO in KBR

As stated by the operative headquarters (OHQ) of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), since April 16, because of continuing threat of subversive and terror acts, the republic keeps all its mountain resorts near Elbrus closed for tourists.

"In order to prevent possible threats to life and health of people, being guided by Article 11 of the Federal Law 'On Counteracting Terrorism', during a counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime, it is prohibited to let tourist groups and individual tourists to the ski resort near Elbrus, which is inside the CTO area," reports the OHQ and informs the organizations working in the business of tourism and individual tourists that "the Elbrus resort will be open to the public strictly after the end of the CTO," the "Interfax" reports.
