Casualties of special operation in Dagestan identified
As reported by the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), the persons killed in a special operation in Dagestan have been preliminarily identified as active participants in the so-called "Tsuntin" bandit grouping.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that three suspected militants were liquidated in today's special operation in the Tsuntin District of Dagestan.
According to preliminary data of the NAC, Magomedov, Suleiman Akhmedovich, born in 1976, leader of the Tsuntin grouping, was identified among the casualties.
As noted by the NAC, Suleiman Magomedov "was involved in many terrorist crimes, attempts on civilians and law enforcers, including the murder on August 23, 2010, of lieutenant-colonel Zheludkin and ensign Gasanguseinov, officers of the Russian Frontier Department of the FSB for the Republic of Dagestan, as well as of two hunters from among residents of the Tsuntin District, the "Interfax" reports.
Among the liquidated Magomedov's supporters power agents also identified his closest henchman Shaikhhuislam Magomedov and an active participant of the IAF (illegal armed formation) Khaibula Usarov, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
Two submachine guns, six magazines full of ammunition, one foreign-made grenade and seven packs of 5.45 mm cartridges were found on the casualties, liquidated as IAF members. An operative-investigatory group is studying the venue; and the CTO (counterterrorist operation) regime is still on.
