Around 300 players to come to Dominoes World Championship in Abkhazia
About 300 sportsmen from 30 countries, including the strongest teams from Spain, Venezuela, USA, Dominican Republic and Russia, will attend the Dominoes World Championship, which will be held on October 17-21 in Abkhazia. The Abkhaz team will consist of 25 athletes, the youngest being 20 and the oldest - 55 years old.
"Within a short period of time, the dominoes lovers of Abkhazia achieved certain global-scale successes; and we were granted an opportunity to hold the 8th World Championship," said Arthur Gabuniya, President of the Dominoes Federation of Abkhazia.
Speaking about the already started preparation for the championship, Mr Gabuniya has noted that the programme of the championship has been developed, and a website, where visitors will be able to learn about all the events, was launched. The rules of the international game of dominoes will be also posted there.
