Ingushetia: head of EU representative office discusses human rights issues
Ambassador Fernando M. Valenzuela, Head of the Delegation of the European Union (EU), paid a visit to the Republic of Ingushetia. During the visit he met with Magomed Mutsolgov, head of the human rights organization named "MASHR".
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports that the meeting took place in Karabulak, in the "MASHR" office, where the parties discussed the human rights situation in the territory of the Republic of Ingushetia.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 25 the European Parliament discussed the situation in Northern Caucasus. Heidi Hautala, Chair of the Human Rights Subcommittee, draw attention in her speech to abductions and torture in Ingushetia.
