In Astrakhan, journalist Teplischev again complaints of early discharge from hospital
Journalist Oleg Teplischev has been again discharged from the ophthalmology ward of the Alexander-and-Mary Astrakhan hospital without proper treatment. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed about it by the journalist himself. According to his story, the clinic is under pressure by the authorities; while doctors argue that Teplischev needs no hospitalization.
Oleg Teplischev told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that today he was discharged without warning from the ophthalmology ward of the Alexander-and-Maria Hospital in Astrakhan, where he had been hospitalized because of consequences of brain concussion, which gave a complication of the eyes.
"It appears that now I'm healthy, although two days ago I was hospitalized with a bout of glaucoma; and such a prompt treatment of this disease is simply impossible," said Teplischev and added that he still feels bad.
Oleg Teplischev is convinced that doctors are under pressure to ensure an opportunity for accelerated trial on charging him of beating local Deputy from the "Edinaya Rossiya" Party Rifkat Shabanov.
The ophthalmology ward of the hospital refused to comment on the situation to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent on the phone, but expressed their readiness to respond to official inquiries. However, one of the doctors, who refused to introduce himself, told the correspondent that Teplischev needed no hospitalization; therefore, he was discharged to home treatment.
The doctor could not answer the question whether Teplischev would be able to appear at the court session, noting that he might have "co-morbidities".
