On April 8, Beslan will host the action "Grove of Angels" in memory of the victims of the tragedy of 2004. It will bring together young people from Kabardino-Balkaria.

"The participants will plant the "Grove of Angels" - 334 trees to commemorate all the casualties of the terror act. A mourning ceremony will be also held there, during which under a chiming clock the names of all the casualties of the terror act will be read out; then, the activists will lay flowers at the monument named "Tree of Sorrow," said Beslan Bezhanov, head of the press service of the Ministry on Youth Matters and Work with Public Associations of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR).

According to Mr Bezhanov, public organizations of the KBR go to Beslan every year to commemorate the victims of the terror act committed at School No. 1 in 2004. Thus, last year a delegation from Kabardino-Balkaria laid 3000 down to the graves of the perished children in Beslan.

The event will be attended by schoolchildren of Kabardino-Balkaria and North Ossetia, members of public organizations and officials.

The present action was organized by the Ministry on Youth Matters and Work with Public Associations of the KBR in cooperation with the Ministry for Public and External Relations of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania.
