Journalist Teplischev hospitalized in Astrakhan
Today at 1 p.m. the Magistrate Court of Precinct No. 4 of the Sovietskiy District of Astrakhan was to hold another session on the case of journalist Oleg Teplischev, accused of beating Deputy from the "Edinaya Rossiya" (United Russia) Party Rifkat Shabanov. However, the session was postponed because the defendant was hospitalized.
"Because of poor treatment of my brain concussion, I have now complications on my eyes. Yesterday, after 4 p.m., I felt nausea, malaise, weakness and sharp pain in my eyes. In this context I turned to the emergency eye care service - this is a medical unit, something like a trauma care centre at the vision hospital. I was urgently hospitalized," Oleg Teplischev told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
The hospitalization decision was made by physician Iskakov, A. Kh., who was in the emergency ward of the department of ophthalmology of the Alexander-and-Mary Regional Hospital. "Currently, doctors are removing pain symptoms from my eyes. The diagnosis is a glaucoma attack. I've already sent a telegram to the court that I can't be present at today's court session for my health problems," said Teplischev.
The date of the next session on Oleg Teplischev's case has not been defined yet.
