In Nalchik, police kills a local resident at detention
Today, in the capital of Kabardino-Balkaria policemen shot dead a local resident who rendered resistance, as reported by the Investigatory Department (ID) of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) for the republic.
"At about 8:30 p.m. Moscow time, in Nalchik, in Nedelin Street, in the course of operative-search actions policemen tried to detain a local man," said the ID's spokesman. "He fought back by throwing a grenade at the police. He was shot dead by return fire."
According to the source, none of the policemen was hurt, the "Interfax" reports. Now steps are being taken to identify the casualty.
