Ex-Minister of Public Health in Ingushetia is suspected of embezzlement of 200 million rubles

Investigative bodies of Ingushetia are investigating a high-profile corruption case, its figurant is Inna Malsagova, ex-Minister of Public Health of the republic who is suspected of grave abuse of authority in process of procurement of medical equipment. 

According to the investigation's data, ex-Minister overcharged the medical equipment purchased at the state's expense by 200 million rubles. 

"While concluding the contract the Minister should have first of all compared market prices to the ones of the providing company which is a mandatory demand of the Budget code of Russia", "Commersant" quotes a representative of Investigative Department of Ingushetia. 

The investigators consider that Malsagova's actions have been deliberate. If Malsagova's guilt is proven she may be sentenced to a term of imprisonment of up to seven years. 

According to the above mentioned media, the start of criminal proceedings against Malsagova might have been connected with procurement of tomographic scanners for the republic at an overestimated price.
