Umarov was not identified among militants liquidated in Ingushetia
According to a high-ranking source from power structures, no remains of Dokku Umarov, one of the leaders of North-Caucasian militants, were found so far among the militants liquidated in the operation of Russian secret services on March 28.
According to the source, people, who personally knew Dokku Umarov, came from Chechnya to Ingushetia and examined the bodies of liquidated militants. Umarov was not identified among them, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
"Now, we have to wait for the results of the genetic examination of fragments of bodies that were taken for the study," said the source and noted that the examination results could be expected not earlier than next week.
Today, Sergey Smirnov, deputy director of the FSB, reported the successes of the special operation in Ingushetia to President Medvedev without mentioning Dokku Umarov. The President has treated the special operation as successful.
The militants' websites close to Umarov report that they have no information about his death.
