The gunmen of Kabardino-Balkaria did not respond to their parents' call to surrender

None of the gunmen of Kabardino-Balkaria has yet expressed a desire to go to law enforcement agencies as self-reported criminals in response to a call of a group of residents of Baksan district to lay down arms of their own free will.

"I have never heard of any cases of gunmen's voluntary surrender", Tatiana Nauzhokova, Head of Press service of Investigative Department of Prosecutor's committee of inquiry in KBR said to a "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

One of the mothers who signed the statement also confirmed under the condition of anonymity that none of the gunmen in search had responded to the signers' appeal. "They possibly do not know of their wanted notices but we are not losing hope", she added.
