A volunteer group for assistance to Japan formed in North Osetia
The Moslems of North Osetia expressed their readiness to help Japan which has suffered from the earthquakes and tsunami in recovery works. This was reported by Ibrahim Dzagurov, mufti's assistant.
"Moslems of North Osetia are part of multinational and multi-confessional people of Russia. Islam instructs the Moslems to have to take charity and compassion upon people. We have formed a group of volunteers consisting of 15 persons from among the Moslems of the republic and are ready to send them to Japan for participation in constructing and recovery works. Our volunteers are ready for any allotment of work", I. Dzagurov said.
