NAC: militants liquidated in Dagestan were on federal wanted list
As reported by the spokesman of the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) of Russia, the three suspected militants killed in the shootout in Dagestan have been identified.
As reported by the "Caucasian Knot", today policemen tried to stop a Lada Priora car to make a check; a fire was opened from inside the car - by response fire all those inside the car were shot dead.
According to the source from the NAC, the casualties were identified as active members of the Khasavyurt subversive and terrorist grouping: Magomed Rurakhmaev, born in 1981, and Bairamali Mazhitkhanov, born in 1981, as well as their accomplice - Nariman Gamzatov, born in 1982.
"The former two were on the federal wanted list for the attempt on the life of a law enforcement officer and terror attacks on commercial kiosks and shops. According to operative data, today they had planned to attack law enforcers," the "Interfax" quotes the source.
According to the NAC, Nariman Gamzatov was the driver of the car.
The source also added, as the RIA "Novosti" reports that two Kalashnikov submachine guns, a Makarov and Stechkin pistols, grenades and ammunition were found in the car.
The position of their relatives is unknown.
