Nagorno-Karabakh soldier dies from injury received in conflict zone
As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of the unrecognized republic, a soldier of the Defence Army of Nagorno-Karabakh was fatally wounded by the fire "opened by the enemy."
According to the MoD of Nagorno-Karabakh, soldier Airapetyan was fatally wounded on March 17 at one of the positions located on the eastern contact line between Karabakh and Azerbaijani troops, about an hour after the end of prisoners' exchange. The poor guy died in hospital, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
In its turn, the Azeri MoD reports that there was a "shoot-out among Armenian soldiers, where two soldiers were shot dead."
"A quarrel that burst out among soldiers of the unit of the Armed Forces of Armenia stationed in the Askeran District turned into a gunfight. As a result, two Armenian soldiers died on the spot," the "Trend" quotes the statement of the Azerbaijani MoD.
According to Azerbaijan, one soldier was placed in a field hospital in grave condition, where he is still in coma.
