Marat Zokaev assassinated in Kabardino-Balkaria
Today, Marat Zokaev, born in 1980, an earlier convicted resident of the village of Kashkatau, Cherek District of Kabardino-Balkaria, was killed in this village.
In the course of a special operation aimed to arrest him, he rendered armed resistance and was killed by return fire, reports the operational headquarters of the counterterrorist operation (CTO).
When the place of the incident was inspected, power agents found and confiscated a Makarov pistol, a self-made grenades, known as "Khattabka" and components needed to make a self-made explosion device. "The confiscated weapons have been sent to the Forensic Scientific Centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Kabardino-Balkaria," said the headquarters.
