Woman from Rostov, who accused Moscow doctors of dishonesty, wants to take her son to Germany for treatment

Elena Kolosova, a resident of Rostov-on-Don, who had accused Moscow doctors of disrespectful attitude in treatment of her one-year-old son Yaroslav at the Russian Children's Clinical Hospital, is going to take her child away to Germany. Financial support to the family was promised by sponsors, who were found through the Ministry of Social Development.

Currently, documents are prepared, while the little Yaroslav Kolosov, who suffers from a grave congenital disease, is still treated at the Moscow clinic. "The Ministry of Social Development of Russia told us that they had managed to find sponsors who agreed to add money to the sum we have for treating our son," Elena Kolosova told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to her story, sponsors were found after the public resonance after an appeal posted on the Internet, which had drawn attention of the Russian president and later of the Russian Children's Ombudsman. "They took away documents from me for organizing treatment in a foreign hospital a couple of months ago; but so far, they keep silent," Elena added.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told at the press service of the Children's Ombudsman in Russia that they were finalizing the paperwork for the Kolosov family. "After that, the one-year-old Yaroslav Kolosov will be sent for treatment to a German hospital," said the press service.

It had been reported earlier that, according to preliminary data, the treatment of the boy abroad would cost 250,000 euros. After the initial check conducted by the Children's Ombudsman at the above Russian Children's Clinical Hospital, it was established that Elena Kolosova's claims to the hospital staff were reasonable. However, the check goes on.

"It was revealed that the hospital's medical staff had improperly treated Elena Kolosova and her child. Chief Physician of the Hospital Vaganov has admitted that facts of rude and boorish treatment or denial of help really took place on the part of the junior medical staff. He confirmed that his hospital had serious problems with personnel," runs one of the reports of the office of the Children's Ombudsman.

Earlier, the Hospital kept asserting that doctors were doing everything possible to help Yaroslav Kolosov, but his mother's "quarrelsomeness" was not constructive.

Leonid Roshal, President of the National Medical Chamber, believes, in his turn, that the child can be operated on in Russia.
