In Krasnodar Territory, IC refused to initiate criminal case against detained ecologists
As reported by Gennady Vasyunin, head of the Investigatory Division for the city of Tuapse of the Regional Department of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), they refused to open a criminal case against a group of ecologists, detained at their action-picnic held in the forest in the Krasnodar Territory near the object, which ecologists regard to be the summer cottage of Alexander Tkachov, territorial governor.
After the incident, the Investigatory Division received complaints both from militiamen and from ecologists. Two of the former complained of bodily injuries caused to them by the participants of the picnic and of obscene language addressed to them. The ecologists complained of the illegal, in their opinion, detention.
"Investigators made a check and decided not to open a criminal case because of absence of crime elements in both complaints," said Mr Vasyunin as quoted by the RIA "Novosti".
