North Ossetia to provide grants for support of folk crafts
As decided by the government of North Ossetia at its sitting held on 11 March, folk craftsmen will be able to realize their projects with the help of grants worth 500,000 roubles.
Rendering of effective state assistance to folk craftsmen is one of the points of the three-year programme in support of SMEs (small and medium enterprises), adopted in March 2009.
"The main objective is to fully utilize all the mechanisms of support. Ultimately, it will create additional jobs and increase the production volume of folk craftsmen, based on the products, which are in sustainable demand in the market," said Deputy Minister of Economy of North Ossetia.
Apart from the funds from the national budget, the municipalities will be also able to support local craftsmen as much as they can.
