Man who perished in shelling in Makhachkala was ex-FSB officer

The man, who was killed during today's shelling in Makhachkala, was a former FSB officer; he was recently employed as assistant of the head of the Russian Federal Tax Service (FTS) for Dagestan, said a source in law enforcement bodies.

Let us remind you that this morning unidentified persons opened fire on a car in Makhachkala, not far from the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Dagestan; one person was lost.

"The casualty Zalkipri Sheikhov was a retired officer of the FSB, who worked as assistant of the head of the FTS for Dagestan," said a source from law enforcement bodies of the city.

According to his story, the motives of the murder are now established. Investigators continue working in the venue, according to the RIA "Novosti".
