Dagestan: high-ranking tax inspector detained at bribe-taking
The MIA of Dagestan reports that Nurullah Galimov, deputy head of the inter-regional inspectorate of the Federal Tax Service (FTS) of Russia for the city of Dagestanskie Ogni, was detained for taking a bribe of 270,000 roubles.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told at the Dagestani MIA that Nurullah Galimov was detained right in his office study. According to the MIA, Galimov was bribed for writing-off the debts of a joint-stock company and liquidation of the enterprise. Currently, the investigation is underway, and the issue of criminal proceedings is considered.
On the other hand, Galimov's colleagues told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that they do not exclude that Galimov could be "framed-up". "He has always been characterized positively; he is a good employee; and it may be suspected that he could be "framed-up" in order to dismiss him," said a tax inspector, who preferred to remain anonymous.
