Russian Interior Minister revokes decree on awarding former head of Krasnodar Territorial GUVD
Rashid Nurgaliev, head of the Russian MIA, has overturned his order to decorate Sergey Kucheruk, former head of the GUVD (Chief Interior Department) for the Krasnodar Territory, who was sacked after the massacre in the village of Kuschevskaya, Krasnodar Territory.
Let us remind you that on February 22 Minister Nurgaliev personally awarded the Degree II Medal for Managerial Merits to Sergey Kucheruk. "Despite what happened, we shouldn't underestimate the contribution made by Sergey Alexandrovich into the work of the Kuban militia; therefore, I made a decision to reward him," said the MIA boss.
"On Wednesday, the Minister cancelled his order to decorate Kucheruk with the ministerial medal," the RIA "Novosti" quotes today the spokesman of the MIA's press centre.
