Commission for adaptation of underground members asks to release natives of Bashkortostan and Chelyabinsk Region detained in Dagestan

In Makhachkala, the commission for assisting in adaptation to civilian life of the persons, who have decided to stop their terrorist and extremist activity, has considered applications lodged by suspects of involvement in terrorist activities.

With account of their repentance and help to the investigation, demonstrated by Radmir Rashitov and Albert Abdurakhmanov, accused of assisting terrorist activities, the commission decided to apply to law enforcement bodies for appointing preliminary investigation of the criminal case, and change their arrest for recognizance not to leave. According to the Interior Minister of Dagestan, the final decision on this issue will be made within a month.

Besides, the heads of urban and municipal districts were instructed to set up their local commissions for assisting to civilian life adaptation.

Let us remind you that Radmir Rashitov, 22, a native of the village of Chishmy, Chishmy District of the Republic of Bashkortostan, and Albert Abdurakhmanov, 23, a native of the city of Ust-Katav, Chelyabinsk Region, were detained on February 25 in an abandoned brick-making shop in the village of Leninkent, Kirov District of Makhachkala. Diagrams for making explosive devices were found on them at detention.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Rashitov and Abdurakhmanov themselves in their exclusive interviews that they had been misinformed about the situation with believers in Dagestan, where, as they had thought, "Muslims were abused."

"When I'm back in Bashkortostan, I plan to speak out in the mosque and state that in Dagestan there is no war against Muslims and I had been wrong. I say frankly. I see my future in studying Islam, in order to bring knowledge to people," said Radmir Rashitov.

"In Dagestan, Muslims are not oppressed; here I saw a lot of mosques. I realize that they could have made a toy out of me. Killing humans is the greatest sin before Allah," said Albert Abdurakhmanov.

Let us remind you that on February 17 in Makhachkala, a sitting of the commission took place, they considered a petition from four Dagestanis, who are serving their terms for committing a series of arsons of stores where alcohol was sold, and from their parents.

The main parents' and relatives' request was not to transport the convicts to the Krasnoyarsk Territory, as the court had ruled, but to leave them in the territory of the republic. It was decided to apply to the Federal Penitentiary Service (known as "FSIN") with a request to replace the convicts' escorting to the Krasnoyarsk Territory for serving their terms in a penal colony-settlement in the territory of Dagestan.
