Relatives of Aslan Zhukov demand to put suspect of his murder to custody

Relatives of Aslan Zhukov, deputy chairman of the Public Movement "Youth Adyge Khase", have addressed their complaints to the Cherkessk City Court, Supreme Court of Karachay-Cherkessia republic and the Republic's MIA demanding to immediately detain the resident of Karachay-Cherkessia, suspected of murdering Zhukov.

"Last week this man appeared to the militia, pled guilty and confessed," Albert Zhukov, Aslan's brother, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"However, the Cherkessk City Court let him go and ruled to put him under home arrest. We consider it inadmissible; therefore, we were forced to turn to appropriate authorities with a demand to put the man who confessed of killing Aslan behind bars," said Albert Zhukov.

The relatives - Yuri Albert, Rosa and Angela Zhukov - note in their complaint sent to law enforcement and judicial authorities on February 18 that they find "the court actions to be deliberate and made under pressure." According to their version, "no sane judge would release a man who confessed of a murder."
