Ingush SC leaves suspect of terror act in "Domodedovo" in custody

The Supreme Court (SC) of Ingushetia has upheld the decision of the Magas District Court to arrest Umar Aushev, accused of helping the suicide bomber who blew him up in "Domodedovo" Airport on January 24.

As reported today by a source from judiciary bodies of the Republic, Umar Khayauri, advocate of the detained Umar Aushev, had appealed to the Ingush SC with a petition "to consider the grounds for suspicions against his client about his involvement in the terror act at the 'Domodedovo' Airport, as well as to cancel the decision of the Magas District Court on Aushev's arrest and release him from custody."

The defence motion was considered by the SC yesterday, on February 15. "Having considered the petition, the Supreme Court has rejected it," the "Interfax-South" quotes the source.

Thus, the SC has upheld the arrest decision of the Magas District Court, the RIA "Novosti" adds.

Let us note here that according to power agents Magomed Evloev, the suicide bomber at the "Domodedovo" Airport, who supposedly disappeared last summer, five days before his suicide bombing returned to his native village of Ali-Yurt in Ingushetia, received his bomb there and went to Moscow by bus, the "Kommersant" writes. He was seen off by his friend Umar Aushev, his brother Akhmed and his sister Fatima. Later, traces of RDX (hexogen) were detected on their hands, the edition notes. Meanwhile, Evloevs' father argues that Magomed's brother and sister did not know about his plans to become a suicide bomber.
