Militiaman suspected of murder in North Ossetia

A militiaman of the Mozdok ROVD (District Interior Division), North Ossetia, is accused of murdering a 16-year-old boy.

"A body of a minor boy with signs of violent death was found on July 23, 2010, near a fence in Mira Street in the city of Mozdok. A criminal case was initiated on the fact under part 1, Article 105 of the Russian Criminal Code (murder)," the local investigatory department of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) has reported today.

According to a source from the ICRF, this January inspectors detected and detained a militiaman from the Mozdok ROVD on suspicion of committing the crime. Presently, the source added, the suspect is in custody.

"The criminal investigation continues; in the interests of the inquiry we can't disclose the details and circumstances of this crime," the "Interfax" quotes the source as saying.
