Jewellery stolen at massacre of eight persons in Stavropol found
On February 9, Vladimir Markin, spokesman of the Russian Investigatory Committee, announced that 200 jewellery items stolen from the casualties' house were detected in the house of an acquaintance of Roman Gubarev, a suspect of killing eight people in Stavropol.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 21 bodies of eight persons - five men and three women - were found with gunshot wounds in the garage of one of private houses in Stavropol.
The charges of committing the massacre were brought against Roman Gubarev, the driver of Vladimir Slizaev, the owner of the house. According to investigators, an armed robbery with the aim to steal a large sum of money was the motif of the murder.
"Within the criminal case, a search was conducted in the house of a Gubarev's close friend, where 200 items of stolen jewellery were found and confiscated. Agents also found a remote pendant, similar to the one that Vladimir Slizaev used to open gate of his house," the "Interfax" quotes Mr Markin as saying.
Besides, Gubarev described the place to investigators - some 20 kilometres away from Stavropol, - where the killers threw away their murder instruments, the Gazeta.Ru" reports.
