One more Georgian sailor captured by Somali pirates

On February, 9, Somali pirates captured a Greek tanker Irene SL in shore of Oman the crew of which includes a citizen of Georgia.

The ship owner is out of contact with the tanker at the moment. The market price of oil on board the tanker makes about 200 million dollars.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia does not yet have detailed information on the incident, Irakly Tavartkiladze, Georgian Ambassador in Greece, said in his interview to "Imedi" TV company.

The vessel with a cargo of about 2 million barrel of crude oil was following from Kuwait to the USA, IA "Novosti-Georgia" reports.
