Man dies in a hostel fire in Baku
On February 4, in the capital of Azerbaijan, a five-story building of the hostel, where displaced persons had been accommodated, was set on fire. One person died; according to different sources 4-5 more were injured.
The fire was caused by an explosion as a result of violating safety rules of using a gas bottle in his room by Rakhman Dzhafarov, the hostel keeper, the "Trend" reports.
"As a result Dzhafarov died and four people were injured. During the fire, about 300 persons were evacuated from the hostel," said Akper Novruzov, Head of Staff of the State Fire Service.
As reported by Rauf Nagiev, deputy chief physician of the First Aid Station of Baku, five persons were hospitalized with various injuries, the "APA" reports.
