Italian authorities deny asylum to Dagestanian Anvar Sharipov

Anvar Sharipov, a brother of Maryam Sharipova, one of the female suicide bombers, who blew themselves up in Moscow metro in March 2009, was rejected political asylum in Italy.

Anvar Sharipov, who is now in the territory of Italy, is unwilling to return to Russia, as he fears torture, as he told in his interview to the "Dozhd" (Rain) TV Channel.

Sharipov still has a chance to appeal against the decision of the Italian authorities, which will allow him to avoid extradition to Russia, the "Rosbalt" writes.
