Resident of Shamkhal who highlighted Didoys' problems found dead in Dagestan

It became known today about the death of Magomed Gamzatov, a resident of the village of Shamkhal, a Didoy by nationality, who in early January addressed the Parliament of Georgia for help in addressing the problems of Didoys - development of language, culture, and recognition of them to be a separate ethnic group.

His relatives and friends believe that Gamzatov's death was caused by poisoning. "Magomed had no complaints. On the day of his death nobody saw him; and in the evening he was found dead at the facility where he worked; his shirt had traces of vomiting. His family believes that he was poisoned by certain structures; however, they refused to give details; they gave the vomiting matter to examination," said Rizvan Sheikhulislamov, the casualty's fellow countryman.

The press service of the Dagestani MIA said that they knew nothing about the incident.
