In Kabardino-Balkaria, unidentified persons assassinated two RPS inspectors

Two inspectors of the Road-Patrol Service (RPS) were wounded at their attempt to stop a passenger car with unknown persons inside in the Zolskiy District of Kabardino-Balkaria; this was reported by law enforcement bodies.

The incident happened at about 11:00 Moscow time in the village of Zalukokoazhe.

An RPS unit stopped a Zhiguli car to check documents; fire was opened in response on the inspectors; a skirmish burst out. Two militiamen were seriously wounded.

In the course of the chase, the attackers managed to break away; they left the car and fled. According to preliminary data, there were three men in the car; blood traces were found in the car after they left it, the "Interfax" reports.
