Employees of division on minors in Kuschevskaya are suspected of concealing a crime statement

A criminal case has been initiated against Tatiana Remeskevich, head of the division for minors of the Kuschevskiy ROVD (District Interior Division), Krasnodar Territory, on the revealed fact of concealment by Kuschevskaya militiamen of an application of a small girl's mother about a sexual assault committed on her daughter.

Investigators have established that in 2009 Remeskevich and other officials received information about an especially grave crime, committed on a minor girl with involvement of Vladimir Alekseev, also known as Vova Bespredel, but failed to take steps to bring him to criminal liability.

According to the inquiry, Alekseev was a member of the organized criminal grouping headed by Sergey Tsapok, a businessman and a former deputy of the district assembly and the main suspect of the massacre in Kuschevskaya last November.

The concealed crime committed against a minor was revealed by the ICPO in December 2010.

"Should the ROVD officials have launched a check on the woman's application and initiated a criminal case, a prompt attraction of Alekseev, as well as other members of the Sergey Tsapok's organized criminal grouping, to criminal liability, which had been repeatedly reported by residents of Kuschevskaya, could have prevented many further serious crimes in the district," the official spokesman of the ICPO has stated, as the "Interfax" reports.
