During 6 days after Domodedovo terror act Northern Caucasus saw 6 armed incidents
After the explosion committed by a suicide bomber in Domodedovo Airport the North-Caucasian republics saw six armed incidents.
On January 30, two explosions happened in Dagestan: a mobile telephony and an electric transformer stations were blown up in the Levashin District.
On January 27, in the township named Severny in the outskirts of Khasavyurt, the CTO (counterterrorist operation) regime was introduced; and power agents stormed a private house, where, according to their data, militants were hiding. According to power agents, the blocked people refused to surrender. At 3:30 p.m. a skirmish burst out. A supposed militant and his wife were shot dead.
On January 26, also in Khasavyurt, a terror act was committed near the café named "Caravan". Three people died on the spot; seven more were wounded; one of them later died in hospital.
Other regions of the NCFD are also in unrest. In particular, on January 28, in Kabardino-Balkaria, Mikhail Mambetov, head of the administration of the Chegem District; while in the south of Chechnya, on January 25, a local resident was killed by a land mine explosion.
