Mass brawl involving Azerbaijanis bursts out in St Petersburg

Twenty persons were detained on suspicion of involvement in a mass brawl that occurred yesterday, on January 23, in the south of St Petersburg. Eight of them are the natives of Azerbaijan. At present, the suspects are questioned by law enforcement officials.

The fight started at about 6:30 p.m. in the district of Kupchino near the house in Budapest Street. A source from the power agencies of the city said that a group of young persons launched a conflict with a native of Azerbaijan, who wounded one of them. "Later, another group of Azerbaijanis joined the fight," said the source.
