Astrakhan Region: four poisoned pupils are in grave condition
Four schoolchildren from the village of Karagani, Astrakhan Region, hospitalized because of poisoning, are in grave condition. One of them is in the intensive care unit.
Let us remind you that in the village of Karagani a mass poisoning in a school happened. The main version of the incident is that poisoning took place in the school canteen.
"Currently, 25 pupils of the 2nd-11th forms from Karagani are treated at the Regional Infectious Diseases Hospital with diagnosis of acute dysentery," the "Interfax" quotes Igor Kviatkovskiy, regional minister of public health.
"In the course of the inspection at the school, numerous violations of the sanitary-epidemiological legislation were revealed, namely, gross violations of the conditions of food storage and cooking technologies, failure to follow the labels and markings, requirements of separate storage of foodstuffs and other," runs the statement released by the regional prosecutor's office.
A criminal case was opened under the article of "rendering services that fail to meet safety requirements" of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that now the school is closed for quarantine until Monday, January 24.
