Three persons lost in explosion in Khasavyurt

On January 14, an explosion in a cafe in the city of Khasavyurt, Dagestan, killed three persons; according to different sources the number of other victims varies from five to nine.

According to a source from the Department for Dagestan of the Russian Investigatory Committee (IC), five people are under intensive therapy; two of them are in grave condition.

A source from the IC has added that at about 7:30 p.m. Moscow time a VAZ-2107 car was blown near the cafe "Belye Nochi" (White Nights) located in the outskirts of the city. The power of the explosive device is not reported.

"Now, the place of the incident is examined; and initial investigatory actions are underway," the Russian News Service quotes the spokesman of the republic's department of the IC.

According to another source, the explosion in Khasavyurt killed three and wounded nine persons, the "Vesti.Ru" reports.

The hospital, where the wounded persons were brought, has reported that several more persons with minor injuries turned for help there. Three patients are still under intensive therapy, the RBC reports.
