Soldier dies in Chechnya at neutralizing self-made bomb
One serviceman was killed and another one was wounded at explosion of a self-made bomb on January 16 near the village of Kharsenoi in Chechnya, a source from law enforcement bodies said today.
The explosion of 400 grams of TNT equivalent happened, when the soldiers were de-mining a self-made bomb they found.
One contract soldier died from received wounds, the other one was hospitalized. The check is now on, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 16 one local resident was killed and another one injured during transportation of metal parts of artillery shells in the Grozny District of the republic in the settlement Novy Tsentoroi. On January 15 one person was killed and two were wounded as a result of a land mine explosion near the railway in the village of Petropavlovskaya also in the Grozny District of Chechnya.
