Main figurants in Kuschevskaya massacre case are suspected of plundering villager's property
A new criminal case has been initiated against Sergey Tsapok and Vyacheslav Tsepovyaz, supposed leaders of the criminal gang that operated in the village of Kuschevskaya, Krasnodar Territory, on the fact of the crime committed by them in 2008, as reported by Vladimir Markin, spokesman of the Investigatory Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation.
The criminal case against Tsapok and Tsepovyaz, who are suspected of an attempted murder and plundering property of Kuschevskaya resident in 2008, was initiated by the Chief Investigatory Department of the IC for the North-Caucasian and Southern Federal Districts.
According to the investigation, Tsapok and Tsepovyaz, while being Deputies of the District Soviet, committed an attempted murder of a local resident and stole his property, the "Interfax" reports.
"Within the criminal case, investigators and operative agents of the GUVD (Chief Interior Department) of the Krasnodar Territory conducted a number of searches, during which 9.6 million roubles and a large amount of golden jewelleries were confiscated from Tsepovyaz's house," the RIA "Novosti" quotes Mr Markin as saying.
