Two men and woman killed in special operation in Makhachkala
The active phase of the special operation is over in Makhachkala. Three persons were killed, including a woman. Two of them have been identified. The casualties are suspected of involvement in illegal armed formations (IAFs), as reported by the National Anti-Terrorist Committee (NAC).
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today at 1:30 p.m. by the decision of the operative headquarters at 96 Akushinskogo Street the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime was introduced, and power agents stormed the apartment, where alleged IAF members, including one young woman, were hiding. An attempt was made to negotiate; for this purpose the girl's father was invited; however, she and others refused to surrender and opened fire at power agents, after which they were shot dead.
According to the NAC, the liquidated militants were involved in crimes related to attempts and killings of law enforcement agents.
The NAC reports that one of the casualties is Atavov, Ruslan Makhtarkhanovich, born in 1970, a native of Khasavyurt. In 2008, he was engaged in cashing large sums of money by means of one-day dummy companies. Since August 2010 he was on the federal wanted list. The woman is his wife - Genzheeva, Ilmukhanum Genzheevna, born in 1977, a native of Buinaksk. In August 2010 she left her two small children and, according to the NAC, left home for the "forest" to militants. She is suspected of helping IAF members.
The third casualty is being identified. According to preliminary data, there are no losses among law enforcers.
