South Ossetia tightens rules for crossing administrative border with Georgia
According to local residents, at the administrative border with Georgia, security services of South Ossetia are verifying whether certificates issued for crossing the border comply with the data available at the Ossetian check point.
These special certificates, which allow crossing the administrative border, are issued from October 1, 2010.
The fact that South Ossetia has tightened the rules for crossing the administrative border in the Akhalgori District was reported by the Tbilisi-based "InterpressNews" Agency with reference to local residents.
So far, there are no comments of the South-Ossetian party to this end.
Let us note here that the Migration Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of the Republic of South Ossetia is getting ready for introduction of duties for crossing the Georgian-South-Ossetian border.
In Tbilisi, the measures introduced by South Ossetia are regarded as toughening of the passport regime.
