Amir of Khasavyurt Ruslan Makavov was among those militants liquidated today during a special operation in the city of Khasavyurt. This was reported by the spokesman of the Information Centre of the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) of Russia.
Let us remind you that today in Khasavyurt power agents have blocked a group of suspected militants; the CTO (counterterrorist operation) regime was introduced. The call to surrender was answered by fire; then, the blocked militants tried to break through - four persons were killed. Two of them were identified as Zaerbek Musaev and Asker Orazaliev who were on a search list.
"According to preliminary reports, one of the casualties was identified as Amir of Khasavyurt Ruslan Makavov, born in 1989. Other militants were also pre-identified as members of Makavov's grouping, who extorted money from businessmen and set on fire and blew up the shops of those owners who refused to pay," said the NAC's spokesman as quoted by the RIA "Novosti".
The special actions in the city continue; the CTO regime was not cancelled yet, the RBC reports.
In the course of the special operation three law enforcers were slightly injured. According to power agents, the injured soldiers were driving civilians out of the operation zone and protected them from bullets.
