Head of Criminal Search of Untsukul ROVD shot dead in Dagestan
On the New Year night, an identified person shot dead from automatic firearms the Acting Head of the Criminal Search of the Untsukul ROVD (District Interior Division) of Dagestan.
"At about 2:00 a.m. Moscow time on January 1, an unidentified criminal opened fire at Magomedrasul Makachev, Acting Head of the Criminal Search of the Untsukul ROVD, who was in his house at that moment," said a source from the ROVD.
The militiaman received eight wounds and died in place, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
The circumstances of the murder are cleared out. Mr Makachev's professional activities are regarded as the main motive of the murder, the "Interfax" reports.
