UN Under-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations to visit Abkhazia

UN Under-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations Jean-Marie Guehenno is to arrive in Abkhazia for an official visit.

The Abkhazian Interior Ministry informs Mr. Guehenno will meet with leaders of the republic, political parties and non-government organizations, and with CIS Peacekeeping Forces Commander Major-General Aleksandr Yevteev. Besides, Jean-Marie Guehenno is expected to visit offices of the UN Mission in the towns of Gali (Abkhazia) and Zugdidi (Georgia).
