International observers to monitor elections in Kuban

On November 14, a member of the Russian Central Election Commission Elvira Ermakova, who was on a working visit in Krasnodar Territory, and chairwoman of the Territory's Election Commission Vera Glushko met with members of the OSCE ODIHR Election Observation Mission for the Russian Federation State Duma elections.

It was noted at the meeting that the task of the Mission would be to assess the electoral process by reference to national legislation and international election commitments of the Russian Federation and to monitor all aspects of the election campaign as well.

Chairwoman of Krasnodar Territory's Election Commission Vera Glushko said she was confident that the work of the OSCE Mission members would raise the level of trust in the Russian democratic institutions and election campaign in Kuban.
