Federals announce possible annihilation of Abu al-Walid

An Arab gangster has been killed in the Vedeno district of Chechnya. Perhaps, this is Abu al-Walid, a notorious mercenary terrorist. Three million rubles were promised for help in arresting him, a representative of the regional operations headquarters on the counterterrorist operation in the Northern Caucasus reported it on Tuesday.

A local resident saw a group of four armed militants near the village of Neftyanka, the Vedeno District, on Monday. One of the gangsters, with shoulder-length hair and a large beard, met the description of Abu al-Walid. The federal troops laid several ambushes with the intention to capture the gangsters. They got caught in an ambush on Monday night, began to fire back and tried to retreat. They all died during a missile attack from a helicopter. No documents were found on them. Since the dead bodies were strongly damaged, the identity of the gangsters has not been established so far.
