In total, 26 persons addressed for help to medical institutions of Tuapse: 25 were diagnosed hypothermia, and one man had a blunt abdominal trauma.

The emergency occurred at night; and many residents lost orientation and tried to save as they could. For example, in the Kirpichny village, as eyewitnesses told, one of local residents spent several hours on top of an old chestnut in his own yard.

Several thousand residents of six settlements of the Tuapse District are still without electricity. Partially, the settlements and villages of Novomikhailovsky, Octiabrskiy, Nadzhigo, Shepsi, Kitpichnoe and Goitkh are de-energized.

Meanwhile, Russian President Dmitri Medvedev ordered Viktor Basargin, Minister for Regional Development, to devise measures in support of flood victims. The authorities of the Krasnodar Territory also promise help to damaged communities.

In its turn, the administration of the Tuapse District intends to allocate money for casualties' funeral.

Meanwhile, according to the MfE, the water level in rivers of the Kuban River basin may rise again in the next two days.
