50 houses burnt down in vicinity of Tbilisi

In Georgia, in the village of Kumisi, several kilometres off Tbilisi, a fire has destroyed 50 dachas; fortunately, there were no casualties and victims.
According to local residents, most of the houses were empty, but some villagers had to stay at night under open air.

The fact that the fire covered a great territory was attributed by Kumisi residents to the two-hour-late arrival of firemen in the village. In their turn, the firemen explained their delay by a bad road condition, the "Free Press" writes.

As a result of the accident, village Kumisi is without electricity, as the fire destroyed the transformer and power line posts, the "Gazeta.Ru" reports.
