Website www.pankisi.info has been launched

A new Russian-Georgian information and analytical website www.pankisi.info was launched on October 1. This is a joint project of the Center of Journalism in Extreme Situations and the Caucasian Institute for Peace, Democracy and Development.

The website will present journalists' views on Russian-Georgian relationships, familiarize readers with the most important publications in the Georgian and Russian press.

The founders of the website thank their sponsor - the East East Program of the Open Society Institute - Budapest, which decided to support the initiative of Georgian and Russian journalists.

  • Russian SAM revokes fatwa on permissibility of polygamy among Muslims

    The Russian General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) has made a submission to the Chairman of the Russia Spiritual Administration of Muslims (SAM) on the need to eliminate violations of the law in connection with the fatwa on the permissibility of polygamy. Citing this submission and the reaction of the public, the SAM has revoked the fatwa.
