Six persons kidnapped in Kizilyurt District of Dagestan

In Komsomolskoe village, Kizilyurt District of Dagestan, six local residents were kidnapped and taken away by armed people into some unknown place.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed about it today by a local resident Magomed Magomedov, who asserts that power agents forced the kidnapped persons into a car and took away from their houses.

"I was called by my friends who told me that unidentified armed persons in camouflage had violently taken away my cousin Kaitmaz Magomedov, 35, from his own house. When I came to the place, I learnt that the detention was performed by local and other power agents; two of them presented themselves as FSB agents from Moscow," said Magomed Magomedov.

"They also conducted a search with rough violations: no warrant was presented, and no witnesses were invited. Power agents told Kaitmaz's father and wife that they would take him away to Makhachkala for interrogation; and then he would be let free. Also, I was informed that five more detentions were undertaken under similar scenarios at five other addresses. Out of those detainees, I personally knew only one - Shamil Ilyasov," said Magomed.

According to his story, now the detainee's relatives are standing near the building of the MIA and FSB of Dagestan.

"We at once arrived here, but both structures said that they knew nothing about the fate of the detainees. They deceived us, as Shamil was brought into the building right beneath our eyes. Later, father talked to him; Shamil told him that soon he would be possibly taken to Moscow," Magomed has added.

The resident of Komsomolskoe was in difficulty to explain the incident. According to his story, his kidnapped cousin was not very religious.

"I can't explain why he was detained. One of the militiamen said that my cousin was suspected of faking banknotes but I know that this is not true. Kaitmaz was a successful businessman; he has a wife and two children; he had no grounds to break the law," he concluded.

The press services of the MIA and FSB of Dagestan reported that they have no information about the incident.
